Fulham v Aston Villa

Fulham Ladies' postponed National Premier League game against Aston Villa will be played this Sunday at Motspur Park.

It will be their first game since their shock defeat to Charlton in the FA Cup 5th Round and having given up their FA Cup title they will be want to keep the pressure on their great rivals at the top of the table.

Marieanne Spacey said of the game "We know that if we are to maintain our league title we pretty much need to win every game till the rest of the season, as such every game we now play has extra significance. Aston Villa will make it hard for us".

Aston Villa are in 9th position having won just one of their National Premier Division games, only a superior goal difference keeps them above Tranmere Rovers at the bottom of the table. Villa were promoted to the National Premier Division, for the second time in the history, at the beginning of this season having taken the Northern Premier Division by storm last season. They also reached the semi-finals of the League Cup in the 2002/2003 season where they were beaten by Fulham.

The Whites travelled to Aston Villa early in the season beating them 0-7.

2pm, Motspur Park - tickets can be bought on the day at £3 for adults and £1 for children. Member and season ticket holder gets in free.
