St. Francis Youth FC 0-8 Ringwood Town Girls

Kick off was 10am at the Garison Ground, Winchester, same as last week. But unlike that match, Ringwood got in to their stride quickly with all the play in St. Francis's half.

Lisa opened the score with an easy tap in after some nice one-two's with Kirsty and Jess in the 7th minute. 0-1.

Ringwood put the pressure on again for Kirsty to chest the ball in on the line after 8 minutes.

Kirsty again then Jess to make it 0-4 by the 15th minute.

St. Francis then dug their heels in with some good defending and had some quick counter attacks as a result, although they were unable to change the score line.

Subs Alice and Chloe C came on for Ringwood. St. Francis without any Subs battled on only to see Lisa get two more in the last 2 minutes of the first half.
Half Time: 0-6
The second half started the same way as the first, but with St Francis managing to keep Ringwood out of their goal with a bit of luck. Good defending, great goalkeeping, both posts and the cross bar all played a part in denying Ringwood.

St Francis had a some of chances of their own but Jess P., keeper and Chloe C & Billie-jo S in defence kept them out.

After an exciting 25 minutes Lisa knocked the wind out of St. Francis with a powerful shot from outside the area, which went in the top left corner St Francis's keepers midair dive, wasn't able to stop it.

Two minutes later Chloe D after hitting both posts earlier in the game, got the 8th for Ringwood.

The final score of 0-8 to Ringwood does no justice for St. Francis. But their heart, grit and determination does.
