Wolves Women started off their season emulating their male counterparts in a goalless away draw. It was Stockport's first game at their new ground - Lambeth Stadium at Woodley Sports Centre - the first game in the Nationwide Women's Premier League to be played on the newly approved third generation pitch.

Wolves Women had to adapt to the quick surface and once they were used to the bounce of the ball, they acquitted themselves well. There were several missed chances, but despite being on top for most of the game, Wolves came away with just a point.

They play their fist home game next Sunday 21st August when they take on newly-relegated Liverpool Ladies FC. The game is at Willenhall Town FC, Noose Lane, Willenhall, 2pm kick-off. Admission £2 including programme, £1 concessions.
