Westward Developments Devon Women's League

Plymouth Argyle Res took over at the top of the Premier Division after their 6-0 victory at Okehampton Argyle. Scorers for Plymouth were Anna Hugill (2), Kirsty Lambert, Gemma Farley, Lizzie Putt and Rachel Finch (penalty).

Central moved up to second with a 5-0 win at last week’s leaders Dawlish Town. On target for Central were Helen Kukor (2), Aimee Chalker, Hannah Smye and Gemma Norman. Dawlish tumbled to fourth after the week’s results.

Nipping into third were North Molton, who secured a 3-0 result against Totnes Town with goals from Sharon Ford, Marie Dibble and Gemma Aspinall.

Exeter City Res consolidated their position at the top of Division One with a resounding 11-0 defeat of Torridgeside. Vicky Barter rattled home a double hat-trick, with K-Lee Beer also achieving three goals. Abby Yukon added another, with Kylie McKie scoring from the penalty spot.

Ilfracombe Town claimed second place in the table with a 6-1 win against early pace-setters Feniton. Jess Pearce and Donna Adams both notched up two goals, with Shelley Greaves and Sophie Langmead making up the half-dozen. Ilfracombe even scored for their opposition with an own goal.

Plymouth Oak Villa Res defeated Georgeham & Croyde 4-3, moving up to fourth but remaining behind their opponents on goal difference. In an exciting match, Plymouth took a 3-0 lead, only to see Georgeham pull it back to 3-3. Late in the game Oak Villa reclaimed the lead to inflict a first League defeat on the North Devon side.

Torquay became the fourth team in the division on six match points, travelling back from Exmouth Town with a 3-1 victory. Goals from Tess Bayley, Helena Ruffles and Rachel Gue got the result for the Torquay team.
