History Forest Green Rovers Ladies Football Club was formed at the commencement of season (2002-2003). Currently the leading female club in the community, Forest Green Rovers Ladies Football Club changed their name from Chalford Ladies FC. Their squad includes ex-County representatives and South West Premier League players. In their first season as Forest Green Rovers Ladies the team have been very successful, winning the South West Women's Football League and with it the Pat Sowden Trophy. The ladies have now been promoted to the South West Combination League, which is a feeder league to the AXA Women's Premier League. Current Season Forest Green Rovers Ladies Football Club are currently in sixth place in the South West Combination League. They are also through to the second round proper of the Women’s FA Cup. At present two players represent the county. Forest Green Ladies have just created links with Golden Valley Football Club who have two girls teams. The aim of the link is for Forest Green players to support the junior club at Golden Valley through the delivery of coaching sessions. Click here or on the image for the full sized version. Club Info Home matches are played at The Lawn in Nailsworth, Stroud on Sundays with a 2.30pm Kick-off. The ground and its facilities are one of the best in the league. Club facilities include floodlights, gymnasium, Players Lounge and Club Bar. Kit sponsors for the 2003-2004 season are Smiths. Training is normally on a Tuesday 7.30-9.00pm at Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester. However, this is due to change as of 4th Nov 2003.
