Basingstoke Town Ladies Seek Coaching Team

BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies Football Club, based in north Hampshire - are looking for an ambitious new coaching / management team for next season. The team were promoted this season into the Women?s Premier League South West Division One. Checkout their Twitter page for contact details.

Shots Ladies entertain Basingstoke Town in friendly

This was Aldershot Town Ladies' first of two friendly games before the Cup Final on Sunday May 2nd 2004. It is confirmed now that the Final will be play at PETERSFIELD FOOTBALL CLUB with a 2pm kick off. Aldershot started the brighter in rainy conditions and started in the best possible way with an early goal from Becky May. Basingstoke responded with an own goal by Di Smith to make the game 1–1. Then mid way through the half the Basingstoke striker finished off a good move with a shot that beat keeper Jo Morris. The Shots were playing well in spells and gave the Basingstoke keeper a lot to do but could not get the equaliser, on the stroke of half time Jo Kibble played a neat pass into the path of Jodie Addison to make the score Aldershot Town – 2 Basingstoke Town – 2. For twenty minutes in the second half the game was very even with end-to-end football. An injury to a Basingstoke player meant that there was a break in play. Aldershot got back into their stride, Becky May scored two more goals for her second hat trick for the club and her first after her knee injury which kept her out of the game for four months.

Final score

The full time score was Aldershot Town Ladies FC 4 – Basingstoke Town Ladies FC – 2.

Jo Morris, Sarah Harness, Sarah Bullock, Tara Coles, Di Smith, Mel Main, Emma North, Kath Giberson, Laura Low, Penny Hull, Becky May, Debbie Rule (Capt), Jodie Addison, Jo Kibble, Jo Donoghue and Zoe Inward.

Next match
