England U17 to play home international against Belgium

England Women Under-17s will be playing an international against Belgium later this month, The Football Association has announced. Hope Powell’s side will play the fixture at Yeading FC, Greater London, on Thursday October 30th with an 11.00am kick-off.

Powell has picked a squad of 18 for the fixture and the girls will meet up in the school half-term week on Sunday October 26th.

Entry for the international, presented in partnership with Nationwide, will be priced at £1.00 on the gate. For more information on Yeading FC visit http://yeadingfc.blogspot.com/.

The England Under-17 side met up on Sunday ahead of their international friendly against Belgium, being played at Yeading FC this Thursday October 30th. The match kicks-off at 11.00am and entry costs £1 on the gate, including a team sheet.

England Under-17s put in a confident display last Thursday to beat Belgium 3-1 in an international friendly. The game was played out in front of 350 vociferous school children at Yeading FC with an 11.00am kick-off.

Karen Boyle of Everton got the scoring underway with a fine lob over the ‘keeper in the third minute. On 10 minutes, Arsenal’s Lianne Sanderson doubled the lead and Karen Carney, of Birmingham City, made it three after 61 minutes. Belgium scored a consolation goal on 76 minutes from Davin Philtjens.
