Redbridge (Raiders) LFC vs Havering

Match report. We are the U15 section of the club Redbridge. Below is a report for our first game of the season. The club is also currently looking for more players. Please visit our website for more information: www.redbridgeladies.co.uk.
Home Club Havering 0 Away Club Red bridge Ladies 7
Redbridge LFC (Raiders) played their first league game of the season smashing a magnificent 7 past their hosts despite only playing the whole game with 10 players, this would have only been a 9 man squad had not G HOWES not made the long trip back from up north where she had been at a family function. The game started quite tentatively understandable Raiders not wanting to give Havering an early advantage where defending quite deep and did rely on keeper R.WAKEHAM sprinting her line to make a fine save to prevent going behind. As the game progresses Raiders ambitions heightened and this resulted in M O'CONNOR-SMITH gleefully heading home a C HEARN cross. This gave Raiders added confidence and despite playing with ten girls it was Raiders who had the lions share of the possession stroking the ball around with great skill and flare. It was this confidence and nerve that got Raiders their 2nd with some wonderful approach play from L EWERS down the right and fed the ball to the feet of debutant M OSWANGO who steered it beyond the outstretched arms of the havering keeper. Raiders continued to press forward in droves whilst D WOOTTON & G HOLT defended superbly when called upon snuffing out any half chances for the Havering strikers K PRITCHARD another playing her first game scored the 3rd wonderfully timed left foot shot that whizzed past he keeper. New girl and lone striker M OSWANGO was to add 3 more goals to her tally and S RANDHAWA also got in on the act scoring one. squad: R.WAKEHAM D.WOOTTON G. HOLT G.HOWES K. PRITCHARD L. EWERS C. HEARN S. RANDHAWA M. O'CONNOR-SMITH M. OSWANGO
