Laverstock 3-3 Ringwood Town

After not playing a league match for four weeks, Ringwood travelled to Laverstock to play a fixture the whole team have been eagerly waiting for. Unbeaten so far this season league leaders Laverstock started well with a handful of chances but were unable to hit the target. Ringwood slowly and confidently warmed up (as did the pitch) and started to keep possession creating some chances for themselves. Lisa took advantage of one of these too put Ringwood ahead. 0-1. The games fast pace didn’t let up with exiting end to end football. Both sides applying pressure, showing impressive goalkeeping and positive defending. If you brought a seat you I bet you wouldn’t have been sat in it. A quick counter attack got Laverstock the goal they were looking for 1-1.
Half time: 1-1
Ringwood went into the second half determined to take control of the game and kept Laverstock in their own half, Chloe D playing at left back pushed up for Ringwood to get a shot on target the keeper got and hand to it, only to see Kirsty get to the ball first and put it away. 1-2. Ringwood didn’t stop there, quickly wining the ball back and on the attack To Laverstocks disbelief, Kirsty again, hitting a sweet low left footed shot that squeezed in past the keeper at the near post. 1-3. To Ringwood. More pressure from Ringwood saw a goalmouth scramble and the referee unfortunately did not see a back pass by a Laverstock defender. Although shocked and a bit deflated Laverstock stuck to their game. Picking themselves up they hit back at Ringwood and managed to get level. 3-3. The last 10 minutes was much the same as the first end-to-end stuff with both sides having chances to win the match. Well done to you all was a great performance. Laverstocks player of the match: Chloe D.

Ringwood Town Girls A v B

We had to start the season with Lisa on holiday, no subs, Kirsty (Kirky), and Chloe (Crispi) both with injuries. So we were up against it from the start. Ringwood B got quickly into their stride and played some good football and left Ringwood A stunned going 4-0 down at half time. It was a different game in the second half with Ringwood A putting B team on their back foot with some quality football of their own. Jess (Jez) getting 4 wicked long range shots that won Ringwood A the second half 4-2. But it was Ringwood B who got the points. Full Time Score 6-4. Squad: Jess P, (keeper) Chloe D, Kirsty H, Chloe C, Billie-Jo S, Jess G. Player of the Match: Jess G.
