U15's: GILLINGHAM v Rochester City

This was an all action, incident packed, top of the table clash between 2 good footballing sides with ambulances, delays, cards, goals, and dogs.

Both team started well cancelling each other out and going in very strong with tackles but after 12 minutes Rochesters Danielle Colins fell badly on her knee dislocating it completely. This stopped the game for 40 minutes waiting for the ambulance to take her to hospital.

With the game re-started both teams were back at each other closing down just as well as before but with 25 minutes gone Gills had there best chance of the 1st half after good build up down the right wing by Carla Camerlieri crossing for Ali Slater to lay the ball back for Amie Jago to strike the ball well from outside the area but the Rochester keeper managed to tip the ball around the post.
Half time
The second half started badly for the Gills with Rochester taking the lead after 5 minutes. Gills re-grouped and managed to soak up some pressure from Rochester and performed some good attacking themselves with only 15 minutes left. Gills then went into a 3 - 5 - 2 system which paid off 5 minutes later with a big clearance from defence for Carla to run onto and slot home to equalise.

One minute later player of the match goal keeper Alice Wood kept ills in the game with a fantastic save diving downwards to the left tipping the ball around the post.

With 5 minutes left the tension lifted for a minute when snoopy the dog decided to join in the game and the ref had to stop the match while the dog was being chased and finally removed.

With only 2 minutes left top goal scorer added to her total with a great run and tussle past Rochesters player of the match Cara Pearce and keeper to slot the ball home for a great win.
Final score
Gillingham U15s 2 Rochester City U15s 1
