DAZN has revealed that over 20 million tuned into the UWCL group stages through its YouTube channel this season.

The competition returns this week, with Barcelona, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Bayern Munchen, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Chelsea, AS Roma and VfL Wolfsburg taking part in the knockout rounds - which will be shown on DAZN as well as free-to-air on YouTube.

It has been a long time since an English club reigned supreme across the European Women's game.

You have to go back to 2007. A time when Tony Blair was still Prime Minister and Rihanna's 'Umbrella' dominated the charts. That same year Arsenal were crowned the best team on the continent after winning the UEFA Cup final against Swedish side Umea.

Chelsea, currently top of the Women's Super League (WSL), are seeking a third successive title, while Villa have never reached this stage before.

Manchester United host Brighton in the other tie, with both teams in the last four for the first time.

The semi-finals will take place on Sunday, 16 April, with the final at Wembley on Sunday, 14 May.

The Arsenal Women manager, Jonas Eidevall, has told his players to take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Allianz Arena with respect “but without fear”.

The Gunners face an in-form team with a formidable home record on Tuesday evening but the Swede sounded confident and pointed to his team’s results in the group stage as a reason why they should approach the game in a positive frame of mind.
