Emma Hayes repeats call for VAR to be introduced to the Women's Super League

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes has reiterated her call for VAR to be introduced in the Women's Super League, saying it would be a “major failure” if it has not happened by the start of next season.

The Blues' 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday saw them fall behind to a Kim Little penalty which was awarded following a challenge by Niamh Charles on Caitlin Foord that began outside the box.

Hayes said after the match that “VAR needs to be in the game, whether it's to confirm it or deny it”.
