AFC Wimbledon - Match report away at Watford

AFC Wimbledon Women lost 4-0 to Watford for their first away game of 2026.

New signing Emily Taylor-Brown took her place in the starting eleven from the off, and Rose Kite was back between the sticks.

The game started with a ferocious speed, with Wimbledon pressing high, and Watford trying to take advantage of the space on the wings. The Dons handled the pressure well, but in the 11th minute, Watford took the lead when their captain, Coral Haines pounced on a loose ball in Wimbledon’s 18-yard box.
